In Yin, you’ll find stillness is the real workout.
We all have a tendency to rush about our day, and we’re no different in our yoga practice. Moving quickly from one asana (pose) to the next, it’s easy to lose track of how our body and mind are really feeling.
In Yin Yoga, you have a chance to unwind these habits and reconnect with yourself. Yin is a slow, grounding practice, which is largely done seated or lying on the floor. Each position is held for around 3-5 minutes, helping to target the body’s connective tissue. You can breathe, get still, go a little deeper and come out of each pose feeling a real difference. Yin is all about being present, rather than pushing through. At the end of class, you’ll feel more balanced in your body and calm in your mind.
The temperature in our Yin classes is warm in summer and cool in winter. Yin suits all levels including beginners.
