Take a deep dive into the practice of Yin Yoga with one of Melbourne’s most experienced teachers of the method, Megan Gamble.

Megan, who has studied extensively with some of the world’s leading Yin Yoga teachers, will combine her in-depth knowledge of the fascial system with Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory (TCM), giving you a rich experience and deepening of your understanding of both the function and methodology of Yin Yoga.

You’ll discover how all of these topics intertwine as you immerse in the practice.

Across the weekend, you will:

  • Experience and discover a suite of Yin poses and practices
  • Learn how to use props to both support and deepen your experience
  • Discover the important role of fascia in the body
  • Gain insight into Yin Yoga and TCM’s five element theory and our energetic body’s 12 main meridian pathways

This weekend immersion, hosted at Yoga Corner in Melbourne’s CBD, is open to keen Yin practitioners wanting to explore this style of yoga further, and yoga teachers. For teachers, it will equip you with insight required to integrate Yin Yoga theories into your classes and possibly fuel your desire to further explore this unique style of Yoga through continued studies.

All are welcome. Click here to book.

“The Dao is the tranquillity found in the centre of all events, and the path leading to the centre. When we leave the centre, we take on aspects of yin or yang.”

• Are you looking to take your practice to the next level?
• Been craving more challenges in class?
• Want to balance on your hands but not sure where to start?

Let us introduce you to Tamblyn Lord, your guest teacher for a brand-new four week series focused on arm balancing: Fly Without Fear.

Over four Saturday mornings starting from May 8, Tamblyn will help you build strength and hone your technique towards arm balancing in your practice. This series is open to ALL, from the curious, experienced or any ‘flying’ enthusiast. You definitely don’t have to be an expert in these poses to attend and will be encouraged to practice at your own level.

With Tamblyn’s expert guidance (and 20 years of experience) you’ll learn the basics so you can prepare to take flight in poses such as:
Bakasana (crow/crane and variations)
Lolasana (pendant pose)
Astavakrasana (8 angled pose)
Koundinyasana I and II (hurdler’s pose)
Galavasana (flying pigeon)
and more…

Too often, fear holds us back from even trying arm balances. This series will encourage you to embrace the challenge of balancing on your hands, and you’ll experience a new-found sense of energy and focus. It’ll be a fun, stimulating, mindful and safe experience for all.

Can I use my existing 5/10 pass to book?

Yes. We have manually adjusted expiry dates on these to reflect the time we’ve been closed. If for some reason we’ve missed you, please drop us an email and we’ll get it sorted in a jiffy.

What about intro offers, memberships and unlimited passes (3/12mth etc)?

These will stay paused. As soon as the restrictions around class sizes are lifted (no more groups of 10), we’ll return to our intro, membership and unlimited offerings. Of course we’ll extend expiry dates to reflect the time we’ve been closed.

UPDATE: As of Mon Nov 23, these offerings have returned and are available to purchase

Will you continue Livestream classes?

At this stage no, unless demand warrants it. We’re keen to hear your views – let us know hereif you want Livestream to continue. We’re currently working to create an ‘on-demand’ platform so digital memberships and a library of classes that you can practice from home will be available in the near future.

Why does the class say ‘Call’ when I’m trying to book?

Bookings open seven days in advance of a scheduled class. If you see ‘Call’, it means bookings aren’t open for that class just yet.

How do waitlists work?

If a class is full, you have the option to put your name on the waitlist. If a spot becomes available with more than 12 hours notice, the next person on the waitlist will automatically be added to the class. You will receive an email confirming your place. Cancellations inside of the 12-hour window will result in a forfeit of that class.

What if I buy a new 5/10/20 pack but don’t use it all and want to become a member again (or use my old pass)?

We don’t know how long we’ll be operating under restricted numbers but if things should change quickly, we are happy to credit any unused value on class packs towards memberships or give you slightly longer to use them. We’ll be in touch if that’s the case.

Where can I buy props?

We have a limited range of mats, straps, cork blocks and eye pillows for sale at the studio. Email us if you want to reserve an item. We highly recommend Calm Buddhi bolsters – enter the code ‘yogaspot’ at check out for FREE* delivery (*Melbourne metro addresses only).

OUR COVID SAFE PLAN

When you visit the studio, you can expect the following measures:

  • Limit of 10 students per class – bookings essential. UPDATE: As of Mon Nov 23 this is now 20 students per class
  • Hand sanitiser upon entry
  • Social distancing floor markers
