Join Megan and Dee for a weekend retreat exploring Yin Yoga and traditional practices to help you slow down and nurture your sense of self.

Retreats are an opportunity to nurture yourself on all levels whilst deepening your understanding of and connection to yoga. It feels truly luxurious to do this whilst stepping away from the responsibilities of day-to-day life and fully immersing in your wellbeing.

Our Autumn retreat will feature a deep dive into the practice and principles of Yin Yoga with Megan, with hands-on and energetic assists provided by Dee. We’ll move our bodies through practice twice daily, adding meditation, mantra and breathwork. We’ll enjoy a workshop on Yin Yoga. We’ll spend time talking about our love for Yin and Yoga over healthy, warming meals. It will be an enlightening and soothing experience for mind and body, especially at a nervous system level.

Over the weekend you’re invited to add a touch of pampering to your retreat experience – join us on a visit to nearby Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, or check out the in-house Turkish Hammam*.

Our venue, Continental House, offers plenty of nooks to curl up with a cuppa and a good book, plus we’ll immerse in nature in the stunning surrounds of Hepburn Springs. If you feel so inclined, there’s free time to take a drive and sightsee in the local area and shops, or walk around Daylesford’s famed lake.

Embrace a life-changing trip to Nepal with Adventure Out Loud and Tamblyn Lord – Monday March 24 to Sunday April 7, 2024

Held in early 2024, the Ganesh Himal Charity trek will take you to some of Nepal’s untouched secrets, far from the crowded Everest and Annapuna regions. Along the way you’ll be immersed in local Nepalese culture, will sample local organic foods, and enjoy an opportunity to make a positive difference in the communities you are visiting. Plus there’s yoga and meditation to add to the mindfulness experience.

In conjunction with the Active Hearts Foundationparticipants in the trek will have a fundraising target of US$500pp which will go towards a village project. As you hike the amazing village trails, you’ll see first-hand where your funds can make a difference.

A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY

The Ganesh Himal Charity trek is an all-inclusive ‘glamping’ and hotel-based experience. You will be accompanied by Dan Keys, a tour leader with more than 12 years experience in Nepal, and Yoga Spot Fairfield’s Tamblyn Lord, in his role as yoga and meditation instructor. You will also be looked after by a local team of guides, cooks and porters. Enjoy organic feasts by the campfire, traditional Nepalese dancing, yoga beside the monasteries and local school visits, spending time with the very students your trek is supporting.

The experience begins in Kathmandu, City of Temples. From here you head north west into the Nuwakot region to begin the hike. Nine days later you board private vehicles and drive to the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara. From Pokhara, take a stunning flight along the Himalaya back to Kathmandu.

A BIT MORE ABOUT GABOR
Gabor is a co-founder of Yoga Flame in Moonee Ponds, and one of Megan’s first (and still favourite!) yoga teachers. Gabor has trained hundreds of yoga teachers through Yoga Flame’s YTT program – including Yoga Spot Fairfield’s Dee, Jaci, Angela and Shaun. 

Gabor will also be guest-teaching a few classes at Yoga Spot Fairfield in the lead up to the event. So you’ll have a chance to meet him, practice with him and hear more about this special event in-person. What a way to start the new year!

Join Dee for four Monday evenings starting November 21 to establish a regular meditation practice.

In this course Dee will share ways to build meditation and mindfulness into your daily life in a practical, functional and easy framework. Participants will build a home practice with tools to make meditation part of the everyday, with minimal effort.

Week 2: How and why to meditate – working with the body, thoughts and emotions
